I’m just a regular K-6 PE Teacher, Jr High Science & PE Teacher, Teacher of Continuation students…unemployed as of May 20th, now a High School English teacher and who knows what else? I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, but am no longer in practice, because I love to teach! (Well, there’s a longer story there, but not enough time to explain) I have two beautiful sons, and 2 insane dogs. This blog started as an ode to teaching, but I have been running again (after 25 years) since Halloween 2007. My current fascination is on runners and the running world! I’ve run Nike Women’s Marathon, Los Angeles Marathon (twice), Marine Corps Marathon, and now training for Marathon #5 in San Luis Obispo. It seems as if I’ve caught the bug…
I’m an avid Dodgers fan. I love Seinfeld, and 24. I don’t consider myself a huge TV fan, but when I like a series, I end up buying them all on DVD. I have all of Seinfeld, some of 24 and Arrested Development, which was a great series. I love Sopranos too, so I guess I do like TV. I despise the reality shows. Except one. The Biggest Loser has some redeeming social qualities. So yeah, I like that one.
This blog chronicles my journey as a PE & Science teacher, who changed jobs to teach Language Arts at a school that shall not be named in Northern California. With the budget problems in CA that year, I changed to a school where I no longer had tenure! I did find a job teaching High School English, and finally ended up teaching in an online Charter School.
