Man, I don’t know what I would have done if I had lost my father in Jr. High school. Zach, you are on my mind tonight, and I hope that you find some comfort this weekend with all of your family around you. (Same to you Nick. Of course, I always think of you, too.)
It makes me remember my Dad when I was in Jr. High. He and I used to run a mile around our Jr. High in the morning. It was hard, because I hate to run. I was really just wanting to be with him. I can remember that last lap from Hughes to our house, and we would sprint. This is a great picture of him. If you knew him, you’d know better than to talk when you’re fishing with him. This is a great shirt. It makes me smile.
Another time, we had a *sock hop*. You guys don’t know what that is. It was the 50’s style dance. Our sock hop was in 1971. My Dad drove my girlfriends and I up to the cafeteria in his Model A. We were in the Rumble Seat, and had a blast.
I was just like you. Really.
Have a good weekend. Zach & Nick: Peace to you both.
