This morning’s run called for 5 miles, as we have our Elk Grove 10K this Sunday.  Forgetting that it’s dark at 5:30am, we took off to our favorite square run around the city.  Many places we are familiar with were VERY dark.

Dueling Banjos brought me up the overpass, and after a quick stop at Mile 2, I started back out past the truck stop.  On to the short strip of grass.  Without any lights except the trucker passing us, I didn’t see the copper pipe sticking out, and I fell.  Again.  On the same knee.
It hurt, and Kim says, “Let’s just go home”.  But we were already 2.5 miles away.  My whole side of the leg was wet, so I knew I was bleeding.

I also knew I had no choice but to keep running.  It felt great, and I am loving this training, even though it’s tough.

Oh look.  Another metaphor.  🙂

  1. Ouchie! Take care, Ms. V. Or else I may suggest you get yourself a plastic bubble to reside in. Less chance of accident that way. 🙂

  2. Ms. V.,you’ve been really consistent in you’re training. I know that inspite of the struggles you’ve been facing that this good training has to encourage you. Thanks for sharing about your church sermon(comment on my blog). God Bless You.

  3. Thank you for coming by and visiting my blog! Your gratitude is leaking out all over your post today.
