I just read in Runners World, that if your pace is a 10:30 5K, then your Half is 12:00.  That makes me feel better, since I so hated last week, and was feeling bad because my pace was 12:22.  We decided to run just 2 this morning, and I have to say that a week of recovery, and my legs have never felt better.

Here we go again.  I start with Team In Training at the MJC track on Wednesday.  It was the Firemen at the finish that got me.  In addition, my nephew and I have decided to volunteer for the LA Marathon at the Mile 20 marker!  I think I must have the running bug again.

🙂  Happy Sunday, and off to baseball tournaments!  Good luck to Big Sur runners (Julianne)!

  1. Volunteering at races is a blast! Do it: I promise you’ll love it.

By the way, my experience with race prediction formulas is that they tend to be too optimistic in predicting races in the HM range from races in the 5K range. So, I’d say if you ran a HM in something close to the pace predicted by one of those calculators, then you did AWESOME in the HM!!

  2. Are you playing in the baseball tournament or just watching your sons? 🙂

  3. Glad the running bug has bitten you again.
I think I am going to try and volunteer this summer at a race….I love to race, now I would like to help on the other side.
