Today, my oldest turned 12 years old.  He got an upgrade to his phone, and this cool new laptop that I’m working on, before I shut it down for the night.  Today also would have been 15 years that his Dad and I had been married.  But it’s not, and we’re not.

So, I dropped off the boys for a Dad’s family party and went on my merry way in cute halter dress, new manicure and gorgeous jewelry.  And, all was well.

I met Kim at 8pm for an hour run on the schedule tonight.  We got going and were at the Shell station a full minute before we normally are.  We hit 3 miles at 30:00 minutes, and felt amazing.  For many runners, that’s super slow, but for me…flying.  We stopped to get a drink, and it was just the most gorgeous sky.  Orange, and deep red blood.   As we rounded the catwalk 1.5 miles later, the full moon was staring us right in the face.  Took my breath away.  We came over the catwalk at 47 minutes, and are usually there at 53.

We had to run 5 minutes further (farther?), and made it home at exactly an hour.  5.5 miles.  Fantastic, and felt strong.  Plus I’ve lost about 5 pounds, and I can feel it.

The Sunset…and a Full Moon.  That, my friends…is a bonus run.

  1. Nice run, Linda!!! I love running under a full moon! I enjoyed the same thing on Wednesday night…it was like my whole world was lit up by God! Amazing…and yes, breathtaking!

Glad that you were able to get out and get your run in. I was so glad to chat yesterday…I’m so thankful that you’ve had an amazing week…so much deserved and needed!

5 lbs…girl!!!! Wow! I’m so excited for your 1/2 tomorrow night. Too bad I don’t live closer, I’d be in for at least 7 or 8 w/ya! 🙂

Don’t push too hard tonight so you’ll have fresh legs tomorrow night! Happy Friday, friend! 😉

  2. You have a race tonight? Oh yeah – that midnight half marathon. Good luck! Sounds like everything is clicking for you. That makes me happy!
