I ran.  It was good.  Found a new bathroom.  Kids who were suspended for yesterday’s incident are coming back in five (5) days.  So much for *No Tolerance*.

Here’s the actual recipe for Brett Favre Chili, sent by Glenn. 

reveal my trade secrets????? hmmm….
First, put on Brett Favre Jets home green jersey (authentic, not a cheap imitation)
3 to 4 packages chili powder (pick your poison- Shelbys packages are the best)
1 large bottle Heinz ketchup (replaces tomato sauce AND adds a sweet flavor – trust me)
4 peppers – 2 green, 1 red, 1 yellow (chopped)
2 large onions (chopped – save half of one for topping when ready to eat)
1 tomato (chopped)
1lb ground pork (browned)
2lbs lean fajita style steak strips (browned)
1lb lean cubed steak (browned)
2 small orange haberno peppers – whole (de-stemmed and de-seeded)
1 package mesa flour
One bottle chili powder for additional seasoning if needed
One bottle cumin for taste (meat can be browned with it as well)
one jar fresh cut jalapenos (add ten to fifteen slices immediately)
4 tablespoons juice from jalapeno jar (or to taste)
Cook 6 to 8 hours. You can eat at 4 hours but the longer you let it simmer, the better. Also, the haberno peppers should be alternately added and taken out every hour – this will control some of the spice. Or, leave them in there and let her rip — even better…don’t de-seed them for a potentially painful experience. Serve over white rice.

I was supposed to run on Easter.  Didn’t do that.  Instead, I had deviled eggs, flank steak, baked potato (with everything), Sees, Sees, Sees.  Didn’t really feel like I could put my body through a run with all of that in me.  Went to Universal.  Had a blast on the Shrek4 show.  Hilarious.

So today, I forced myself to get my shoes out and run.  Truly, it was because of this article:  The author hadn’t been running lately, and me not running 5 days felt like FOREVER!  After I read it, I had the boys ride their bikes to Tae Kwon Do, and I took off on this little short hop.  I didn’t do to badly, and again…I am back in the saddle.

To go with it, the flag that flew outside my Mom’s house on Easter.  Actually it flies there every day, but it was a blast with my sister’s and assorted shirttail cousins.  We played Scrabble and Poker on the porch.  i even found a *U* in my purse, so sent it back home to my sister, who now must face a rematch since we didn’t have all the letters! 

 Who could ask for anything more?
